Radzyner Law School - Reichman University Takes Off

The Harry Radzyner Law School laid the foundations for the building of IDC Herzliya. Dr. Harry L. Radzyner was the first donor to heed Prof. Reichman’s call.

His decision to set up a new law school, back when IDC Herzliya was merely an abandoned army base, was an unequivocal show of support of an academic vision promoted by a handful of pioneers. Radzyner’s contribution enabled the completion of the first stages of renovations and the opening of the first academic year.

Some 360 students enrolled in that first academic year in one of the school's double major programs: Law and Business or Law and Government. As the tractors worked across campus, everyone felt they were part of a pioneering endeavor, which filled them with energy.

Since its establishment, the Harry Radzyner Law School has become a leader in its field and has attracted renowned jurists over the years, including Prof. Aharon Barak, Prof. Amnon Rubinstein z"l, Prof. Uriel Procaccia and many more. Today, IDC Herzliya is home to 20 legal clinics that offer free legal aid to disadvantaged populations and are guided by the principle that the law is an instrument of social change.

Prof. Amnon Lehavi serves as Dean of the School.
