​In the wake of IDC Herzliya's 20th anniversary celebrations and as part of the effort to design a new academic approach that will provide tools for coping with the challenges of the 21st century, the Zvi Meitar Institute for Legal Implications of Emerging Technologies was launched.

The Institute focuses on the impact technological innovation has on our lives, with the purpose of understanding the ethical and normative responsibilities that come along with revolutionary technological changes.

​Also in 2015, IDC Herzliya launched a new public diplomacy program to train students from Israel and around the world to take part in the struggle over Israel's international image. Students are selected to create content that makes a real contribution to improving Israel's image.

The program includes academic courses, practical workshops, and work with government ministries and international bodies. In light of the growing incitement online in recent years, IDC Herzliya and the IAC (the Israeli-American Council) have established an online community of volunteers working towards enhancing Israel's image on the Internet.

As part of IDC's aspiration to play a role in Israeli society, in 2015 the Institute for Policy and Strategy (IPS) led a unique collaboration with the President of Israel to advance his vision of a “New Israeli Order” to deal with the demographic processes that have reshaped the face of Israeli society in recent decades.

A committee was established at IDC Herzliya to identify and map common fundamental principles in various areas such as equality, rights and duties, community and state, education and the fight against poverty, symbols and ceremonies, equal opportunities, and more.

​As an institution that was established for its students and which sees them as partners, it was only natural that with the opening of the 2015-2016 academic year, IDC Herzliya was ranked first in the National Union of Israeli Students’ student satisfaction survey for the sixth year running.
