"You're crazy, a university here?! How can I help you Uri?” and “It doesn’t stand a chance,” were some of the reactions that Prof. Reichman heard when he dreamed of establishing an international, non-subsidized university that would train the future leadership of Israeli society.

 

In the 25th year of Reichman University, we sat down with our partners to hear from them how it all began, what challenges IDC faces today, and the exciting moments that have brought them special pride.

Friends and Donors:

  • Avi Tiomkin


    Avi Tiomkin has been a supporter of Reichman University from its founding, and later contributed to the establishment of the Tiomkin School of Economics.

  • Baruch Ivcher


    The first interview was with Baruch Ivcher, a true friend of Reichman University from the outset, who donated the Ivcher Auditorium and later the Baruch Ivcher School of Psychology.

  • Dr. Dori Klagsbald


    With the opening of Reichman University, Dr. Klagsbald stood by the young institution, which faced challenges and objections from various bodies. He independently volunteered his skills to help Reichman University in his unique way.

    Eitan Wertheimer is a leading figure in the international business world and a renowned philanthropist. Wertheimer is one of Israel's greatest industrialists and has contributed greatly to the advancement of Israeli society.

    Eli Landau, former Mayor of Herzliya, was one of the firsts to believe in Prof. Reichman's vision of establishing an international university in Herzliya.

  • Dr. Harry Radzyner


    Dr. Radzyner was the first to respond to Prof. Uriel Reichman's call to establish Reichman University. His decision to establish the Harry Radzyner Law School at a time when Reichman University...

  • Joey Low


    Joey Low founded the Israel at Heart program at Reichman University, which awards scholarships annually to promising students from the Israeli-Ethiopian community.

    Oudi Recanati is a full partner in the incredible achievements of Reichman University. Thanks to his and Prof. Uriel Reichman's vision, the Raphael Recanati International School was established in 2001.

  • Adv. Rachel Levitan


    Rachel Levitan says that Reichman University began “not from nothing, but from minus nothing.” Today, she is proud of its standing as one of the leading institutions in Israel.

  • Sam Zell


    Sam Zell is a leading entrepreneur and the founder of the investment firm Equity Group Investments. he founded the Zell Entrepreneurship Program at Reichman University in 2001.

  • Shari Arison


    Shari Arison is a business woman and social entrepreneur who works for the benefit of Israeli society and the Jewish people, thus continuing the family tradition started by her father, Ted Arison, z"l.

  • Amb. Zalman Shoval


    Zalman Shoval, who for many years served as a member of Reichman University’s Board of Directors, was instrumental in its development, and is currently a member of the board of IPS.

Faculty:

  • Prof. Aharon Barak


    Prof. Aharon Barak’s joining the faculty of the Harry Radzyner Law School upon his retirement from the position of President of the Supreme Court was and continues to be a source of great pride for Reichman University.

  • Prof. Alex Mintz


    Prof. Alex Mintz joined the Reichman University faculty after a period in the United States, where he served as a lecturer and researcher at Yale, Columbia and Texas Universities.

  • Dr. Ayelet Ben-Ezer


    Dr. Ben-Ezer joined Reichman University at the outset as a member of the law school faculty, and was appointed Vice President in 2006.

  • Bilha Hochman


    Bilha Hochman served as Reichman University’s External Relations Director in Israel for 18 years and was one of the first to join Reichman University upon its establishment and realize the vision of Prof. Uriel Reichman.

  • Prof. Boaz Ganor


    Prof. Boaz Ganor is the Executive Director of Reichman University’s International Institute for Counter-Terrorism and Dean of the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy & Strategy.

  • Prof. Dov Pekelman


    Prof. Dov Pekelman, Dean of the Arison School of Business, has been instrumental in advancing Reichman University since its inception, inter alia by fostering international collaborations

  • Jonathan Davis


    Jonathan Davis, Vice President for External Relations and Head of the Raphael Recanati International School, joined Reichman University 18 years ago.

  • Prof. Noam Lemelshtrich Latar


    Noam Lemelstrich Latar is the Founding Dean of the Sammy Ofer School of Communications, established in 2006.

  • Prof. Ron Shachar


    Prof. Ron Shachar, Head of the Business Honors Program, joined the Reichman University faculty in 2011 to serve as Dean of the Arison School of Business.

  • Prof. Shimon Schocken


    Prof. Shimon Schocken is the Founding Dean of the Efi Arazi School of Computer Science. He was one of the first faculty members to join Reichman University after becoming captivated by Prof. Reichman’s pioneering vision.

  • Dr. Talia Rymon


    Dr. Talia Rymon, Head of the Marketing programs at Reichman University, joined the faculty of the School of Business Administration at its inception. Prior to this, she was a lecturer at Carnegie Mellon University.

  • Prof. Varda Lieberman


    Varda Liberman was one of the first faculty members to join Reichman University upon its establishment. At Prof. Lieberman’s initiative, an MBA in Healthcare Innovation was launched in cooperation with Sheba Medical Center.
