In the 25th year of IDC Herzliya (Reichman University), we sat down with our partners to hear from them how it all began.

Prof. Aharon Barak’s joining the faculty of the Harry Radzyner Law School upon his retirement from the position of President of the Supreme Court was and continues to be a source of great pride for IDC Herzliya (Reichman University). Prof. Barak is one of the most respected jurists in the world. During the period in which he served on the Supreme Court, he formulated precedent-setting rulings that poured content into Israel’s Basic Laws, led the Constitutional Revolution, and took action to protect human rights under Israeli law. The Supreme Court under his leadership provided assistance to all strata of Israeli society and won unprecedented public support. "IDC is a young, evolving place, without dogmas. It has an excellent team of law teachers, outstanding interactions between teachers and students, and a willingness to accept new ideas. IDC is a Zionist enterprise in the spirit of Herzlian Zionism - an "Altneuland" in a sense,” says Prof. Barak.
