Prof. Boaz Ganor
In the 25th year of IDC Herzliya (Reichman University), we sat down with our partners to hear from them how it all began.
Prof. Boaz Ganor is the Executive Director of IDC’s (Reichman University) International Institute for Counter-Terrorism and former Dean of the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy & Strategy.
In 1996, Prof. Ganor, then a doctoral student, came to IDC Herzliya and presented Prof. Reichman with the idea of setting up an institute for counter-terrorism policy and creating a new field of academic research. Since then, the institute under his leadership has become one of the world's leading centers of excellence for research and teaching in the field of counter-terrorism.
"The spirit of entrepreneurship flows here from every room, from every school. Prof. Reichman embodied this spirit, but he also succeeded in bringing researchers, scientists, and lecturers who are following his path and fostering academic entrepreneurship.”
