​Sam Zell

In the 25th year of IDC Herzliya (Reichman University), we sat down with our partners to hear from them how it all began.

Sam Zell is a leading entrepreneur and the founder of the investment firm Equity Group Investments. He set himself the goal of using his entrepreneurial and business success to benefit the future generations and help them to achieve the same. As part of this approach, he founded the Zell Entrepreneurship Program at IDC Herzliya (Reichman University) in 2001, designed for outstanding students in their last year of studies. Since the establishment of the program, 124 companies have been founded by its graduates, who have created approximately 2,700 jobs in Israel and around the world. "When I visited Israel and saw what dimensions this small idea has taken on, it is impossible not to be proud. I think that what has happened is much better than I ever could have imagined."
