First Aid

The following equipment exists at the Reichman University (IDC Herzliya): A standard resuscitation system and a defibrillator system, including a fist aid kit, are located in the Guards Hut at the East Gate (Main Gate).
There is a first aid kit in the superintendent room, in every classroom building.
There is a first aid kit in the Students Administration.
In any incident where medical assistance, of any kind, is required, please call the East Gate (Main Gate) on internal extension 7225 or on external line (09) 952-7225 (this Gate is manned 24 hours a day). If there is no answer at the Gate, please contact the Security Officer, Mr. Giora Nevo, on (052) 851-4015.
The Maintenance Team and the Guards undergo annual refresher courses in the manner of treating injured people and the use of the existing apparatus.

Safety Related Events, Fire Etc.

There is fire extinguishing and safety equipment located at various key points at Reichman University that enables the provision of an initial response prior to the arrival of the emergency services. In addition, the Maintenance Team is drilled and briefed in ways of dealing with various emergency events.
Upon detecting a safety related occurrence, (a broken stair, a protruding rock or anything else that is liable to endanger people), please report the occurrence to the Maintenance Command Center, on internal extension 2859 or on external line (09) 960-2859 or via email to anissim@idc.ac.il. After hours, please call the Main Gate on internal extension 7225 or on external line (09) 952-7225.
Upon detecting a fire or electrical short (billowing smoke, etc.), please call the Security Officer, Mr. Giora Nevo, urgently on (052) 851-4015. If there is no answer, please call either (052) 866-8196 or (052) 851-4002. Whoever receives the call will issue instructions to you regarding the actions required and will ensure that the problem is taken care of

A Malfunction in Equipment in the Classrooms (Multimedia, Air Conditioning, Etc.)

Projection, amplification and computer equipment is installed in the classrooms and lecture halls, which is designated for use by the lecturers and the students during lectures.
When a malfunction or operating problem occurs, please call internal extension 7272 or external line (09) 952-7272 or the telephone number on the list next to the telephone in the classroom or lecture hall.

Detection of a Suspicious Object or a Dubious Individual

Upon detecting a suspicious object or a dubious individual, please call the Security Officer or the East Gate immediately to get the latter to handle the problem.

A public address system is installed all over the Campus

for purposes of broadcasting emergency announcements.
