Reichman University promotes accessibility.
We see our students and visitors with disabilities as people with equal rights, entitled to enjoy full access to the assets and services offered by Reichman University (IDC Herzliya) and to the information available on the website. Reichman University (IDC Herzliya) operates in accordance with legal statutes, and goes beyond them in order to assist people with disabilities to improve their quality of life and facilitate their integration into society with dignity, equality and independence. These regulations are made subject to and in accordance with the provisions of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and the regulations thereunder.

Special arrangements for access to campus
Students with significant and temporary mobility difficulties (e.g. due to an accident or illness) who require entry with their vehicle to the campus are invited to fill out a 'medical accommodation application form' located in "my IDC". Disabled parking spaces for those with parking permits are legally located near the entrance gates to the campus and are available at all times.

Loans of assistive hearing equipment
The accessibility center has personal FM receivers, assistive devices for the hearing impaired, available for loan to students. The devices are suitable for hearing aids with a “T” setting, and for use with standard headphones. Upon receiving the device, the student will be given instructions regarding its use and maintenance. The student must leave a check as a deposit, which will be returned to him or her at the end of the semester when the device is returned. Library
There is an elevator in the library - the entrance to the elevator is through the library offices.
Services for the disabled are located on the ground floor next to student services, with an additional room in the offices.
Assistive equipment for blind and visually impaired students includes a CCTV located in the corner of the library’s Elran Hall. There is a computer with assistive software including Alma Reader in Hebrew and English, magnification software, NVDA screen reader software, and ABBYY FineReader OCR software.
Noise-cancelling headphones can be borrowed by leaving your ID at the circulation desk as a deposit.

Photocopiers
There is a photocopying service in the library building. There is an accessible copier and a person present to assist with any technical problems.
Web Accessibility
An accessible website is a site that enables people with disabilities and the elderly to surf with same level of efficiency and enjoyment as other users.
Reichman University (IDC Herzliya) strives to promote equal opportunity on the Internet for people with various disabilities and for people who use assistive technologies in their computer use.
Information about the website’s accessibility
- Accessibility adjustments were carried out according to the recommendations of the Israeli standard (SI 5568) for web content accessibility at Level AA and the international WCAG 2.0 guidelines.
- The site provides a semantic structure for assistive technologies and support for the standard pattern of operation with a keyboard using the arrow keys, Enter and Esc to exit menus and windows.
- The site is optimized for display in popular browsers and for use on mobile phones.
- Website accessibility consulting was carried out by A-2-Z Internet Marketing and Accessibility.
- The site was tested for highest compatibility for Firefox browser.
- For the optimal user experience with screen reading software, we recommend using the latest NVDA software.
Accessible website symbol
The "accessible website" symbol is an initiative of “Access Israel" and the Israel Internet Association.
The purpose of the symbol is to promote public awareness of web accessibility.
