Dr. Anna Getmansky | Reichman University

Anna Getmansky is a lecturer in the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy, and Strategy at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya. Her areas of research include the interplay between international relations and domestic politics. In her dissertation, completed at NYU, she studies the effect of domestic political institutions on intra-state conflicts. A paper based on her dissertation has been published in the Journal of Conflict Resolution. Getmansky's current projects focus on the effect of political incentives on government provision of protection against security threats; the effect of refugees on the spread and duration of intra-state conflicts; and provision of private goods by international organizations to their member states. Methodologically, she is interested in applying quantitative empirical and game-theoretic methods to study these questions.
