Dr. Rami Tolmacz

  • Dr. Tolmacz is a Lecturer at the School of Psychology, Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya. He has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology and Education and a Master of Psychology (MA) in Clinical Psychology. After completing his PhD degree, Tolmacz was awarded a Planning & Budgeting Committee grant for post-doctorate studies at Bar Ilan University and was supervised by Professor Mario Mikulincer. In 2001, Tolmacz launched his academic career in the Psychology Department at Bar-Ilan University and between 2009-2010 he served as the head of the clinical track.

    Between 1992 and 2001 Tolmacz was a therapist at the Summit Institute where he had gained experience in treatment of adolescents with severe mental disorders. In 2000 he graduated from the “Dialogue” Program of the Israeli Psychoanalytic Society. Since 1997 he is a licensed supervisor in psychotherapy, between 1997 and 2004 he supervised therapists in the various Summit Institute departments and conducted theoretical seminars.
