Dr. Yoni Birman is a faculty member, researcher, and technology executive specializing at the cutting-edge intersection of Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Autonomous Systems.
He serves as the Founder and Executive Director of Lenovo's Digital Trust Lab, a Global research center driving innovation in cybersecurity, privacy, and AI.
In academia, Dr. Birman is the Founder and Director of the Cyber AI Research Lab at the Efi Arazi School of Computer Science, Reichman University. His academic and research endeavors focus on:
1) Applied Cyber AI Research at the intersections of: AI for Cyber Security; AI Security; and Cyber AI
2) Physical AI Security: Investigating core vulnerabilities, threat vectors, and defense mechanisms for humanoid robotics, cyber-physical architectures, and intelligent autonomous systems.
3) Academic Mentorship: Actively advising and guiding M.Sc. and Ph.D. students in their thesis research, cultivating the next generation of experts in the Cyber AI domain.
Beyond his research labs, Dr. Birman serves as the Director of the Google and Reichman University Tech School's Cybersecurity Program, and the Director of the Cybersecurity Training Program for Executives at Reichman University.
Dr. Birman has built his extensive professional and technological expertise within elite military R&D environments and leading corporate tech sectors. He received his academic training at Ben-Gurion and Tel Aviv Universities, and serves as an active academic reviewer for prominent scientific journals, including IEEE and Elsevier. -
