Acquisition
The Acquisition department of our library plays a crucial role in building and maintaining a comprehensive collection that supports the academic and research needs of Reichman University.
This department is responsible for the procurement of a wide range of materials, including printed books, electronic books (e-books), academic journals, and electronic databases. The primary goal of the Acquisition department is to ensure that our library's resources remain current, relevant, and aligned with the evolving needs of our academic community.
Our acquisition process is largely driven by the requests and recommendations of university lecturers and researchers. These subject matter experts provide invaluable input on the materials needed to support their teaching and research activities. The Acquisition department carefully considers each request, evaluating its relevance and potential impact on the university's academic programs.
All acquisition are made within the constraints of our budget framework and in accordance with the library's collection development policy.
This policy serves as a guiding principle, ensuring that we create a well-rounded collection that meets the diverse needs of an advanced research university. We place special emphasis on acquiring materials that support contemporary research and teaching at Reichman University, reflecting our commitment to staying at the forefront of academic excellence.
