The Pre-Award Unit serves as a central source of up-to-date information on calls for proposals from a wide range of funding bodies in Israel and around the world (see a list of funding bodies below).
The Pre-Award Unit works in collaboration with other units across the university to provide comprehensive support for researchers at every stage of the submission process. This includes assistance in preparing budgets, aligning proposals with the requirements of each specific call, and managing relationships with external parties. The unit helps researchers stay informed about funding opportunities, identify those most relevant to their research, and prepare and submit competitive grant proposals, with the aim of maximizing their chances of success and streamlining the submission process.
Calls for proposals are updated regularly on the Research Authority website and distributed monthly to the schools through a dedicated newsletter. Researchers can also set up customized alerts based on their fields of interest by registering for an account in the Pivot-RP system, allowing them to quickly and accurately identify relevant funding opportunities.
