On Thursday July 17, 2025, Reichman University hosted the

Inter-Sectoral Event on Blended Finance

We are pleased to share the professional event we held on 17.7.25 at the Arison Center for ESG at Reichman University, in partnership with IFIE and IMagine IMpact, on the topic of the opportunities in blended finance for growth – with an emphasis on green infrastructure, real estate, and manufacturing industry.

The event was held as part of the ongoing activity of the Arison Center for ESG, in partnership with IFIE, with the aim of examining how blended finance tools can serve as a lever for socio-economic development in the north and south.

During the conference, we presented an introduction to blended finance, held a dialogue with a representative from the Accountant General’s office, and engaged in in-depth roundtable discussions with a variety of stakeholders from the business, social, and philanthropic sectors.

The opening remarks by Yair Avidan, Chair of the Center’s Advisory Board, emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration as a vital tool for addressing deep-rooted challenges:

“The success of blended finance lies in its ability to address market failures and drive long-term economic growth in regions impacted by the conflict – both security-wise and economically. This approach is not just about mobilizing capital, but about building flexible partnerships that can navigate the complex challenges of our recovery efforts.”

The discussions focused on key questions:

▪️ What are the needs and barriers on the ground?
▪️ What is the appropriate role of philanthropy?
▪️ And what tools are required to make blended finance a practical, effective, and relevant mechanism for regional development?

Thank you to everyone who took part – and to all our partners along the way.
