Our Mission
The Scojen Institute is dedicated to all aspects of the study and exploration in the field of Synthetic Biology. We believe that this multidisciplinary field of science which combines life sciences, exact sciences, medicine and engineering, will ultimately be the key that unlocks new technology that will answer previously unresolved scientific dilemmas.
Vision
The Scojen Institute aims to be the epicenter of Synthetic Biology research and discovery. We envision that the Institute will serve as the intellectual hub where advanced research can be shared, leading to world-wide collaborations in the hopes of advancing broad scientific knowledge. Through our on-site research laboratories, as well as yearly academic symposiums, we bring together top academics from around the globe, opening doors for new opportunities of discovery in the combined field of biological science and engineering.

Organization and more
Faculty members benefit from new, state-of-the-art lab facilities, managed by a dedicated chief engineer and supported by an administrative manager. The Institute supports fellowships for graduate and postgraduate students, start-up grants for researchers, and equipment grants for both individual labs and central facilities. Scojen organizes a yearly symposium to gather top academics from around the globe, who join together at the Institute to share their latest discoveries which serve to inspire further research and collaborations leading to future scientific breakthroughs.
