International Summer Internship Program

The Institute for Liberty and Responsibility (LibRes) at Reichman University invites applications for its Internship Program. This is a unique opportunity for international students to engage in applied research on democratic politics, public opinion, and political institutions using real-world data from Israel and worldwide.

Program Overview:

 

Interns will work with various cross-national and Israeli datasets, including original LibRes surveys, comparative public opinion surveys (e.g., European Social Survey, Eurobarometer), and global indices (e.g., V-Dem, Freedom House). They will produce analytical reports based on independent and collaborative research. The reports will be published on the website of the Institute for Liberty and Responsibility and on other platforms of the Institute.

 

 

Internship Details:

 

  • Duration: a minimum of 5 weeks, 24 hours a week
  • Location: Remote or on-site at Reichman University, Herzliya, Israel
  • Interns who prefer an on-site program (partial or full) are responsible for all immigration arrangements, associated costs (including travel and living expenses), and health insurance.

 

Eligibility:

 

  • Advanced undergraduate or MA students majoring or minoring in political science or related disciplines at a recognized university
  • Language: Knowledge of Hebrew is not required, though it is an advantage
  • Skills Required: Experience in quantitative data analysis (Stata, R, or Python); Familiarity with survey data and global political indices; Strong academic writing skills in English Intern

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Complete three to four short analytical reports (3–4 pages each) using various data sources
  • Attend regular supervisory meetings (remote or in person)
  • Support ongoing research at the Institute
