The Dina Recanati School of Medicine offers an advanced, interdisciplinary approach to medical education, designed to fulfill its mission of training the doctors of the future.

The program places a special emphasis on providing freedom for creative thinking that breaks boundaries and conventions. Students will learn in an interdisciplinary classroom, composed of graduates with diverse academic backgrounds, within a scientific and innovative learning environment. They will receive leadership training from prominent figures from Israel’s leading healthcare institutions — Rabin Medical Center, Schneider Children’s Medical Center of Israel, Sheba Medical Center, the Edmond and Lily Safra Children’s Hospital, Maccabi Healthcare Services, and Clalit Health Services. The goal is to empower students to pursue their passions while encouraging excellence, entrepreneurship, and personal growth.

Key principles of the teaching approach:

Interdisciplinary class

The program features a diverse cohort of undergraduates from various academic backgrounds, fostering group collaboration and mutual enrichment through Team-Based Learning (TBL) alongside individual learning. This structure also provides exposure to a range of scientific disciplines and their unique skill sets.

Clinical training starting from the first week of studies, with an emphasis on community medicine

The program emphasizes the development of diagnostic and treatment skills, combined with a compassionate, patient-centered approach tailored to individual needs. Clinical training will be integrated throughout the years of study and conducted in collaboration with Israel’s leading medical institutions, our partners in establishing the school.

An innovative curriculum designed with an interdisciplinary, spiral model, combining individual and group learning and based on clinical cases

Each daily study unit includes four complementary layers of learning: self-directed study, active review sessions with the lecturer, small-group learning in designated classrooms, and clinical practice exercises with doctors in the simulation center.

Continuous learning and skill acquisition in a evolving medical landscape

The program places a strong focus on encouraging self-directed learning and creative thinking that challenges boundaries and conventions, along with exposure to medical innovations and advanced technologies.
