The RU Model United Nations was the first higher-education Model United Nations Society in Israel, established in 2008. Since then, it has expanded, and it encompasses approximately 60 students from both the Israeli School and RRIS, exchange and MA programs.
Model United Nations is a worldwide recognized academic activity in which students and aspiring young professionals from the most prestigious universities come together in order to discuss matters of global conscience. Model United Nations enables students from different fields of studies to discuss current events and try to find solutions to matters of common interest, as well as hone their public speaking, critical thinking and negotiation skills. Model UN is recognized by both the United Nations as well as several important governmental institutions, in Israel as well as in Europe and the United States.
