Ulpan

Hebrew is offered to RRIS students as an elective course for credit. Interested students take a placement test and are put into appropriate classes, based on their test results. Classes are designed to help students feel comfortable using Hebrew. In addition, Reichman University offers a five-week, intensive Summer Hebrew Ulpan, which allows Reichman University students to learn Hebrew during the summer vacation. The Ulpan is run in conjunction with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, and offers five levels of intensive Hebrew instruction. Please note that Ulpan students are responsible for their own accommodations.

Ulpan Dates:

 

Placement Tests: June 27th & June 28th, 2023.

Classes begin on July 2nd, 2023 and end on August 3rd, 2023.

Students must attend the full five-weeks of the ulpan course to receive a certificate of completion.


Ulpan Levels:


Aleph through Hey, with additional levels according to number of students requesting.

​​Reichman University student on Student or Tourist visa ​$1,100 USD
​Tourist who is not a Reichman University student ​$1,500 USD
​Veteran immigrant (over ten years in Israel) ​1,500 NIS

 

*Price does not include non-refundable registration fee. For Ulpan courses paid in USD, the registration fee is $100 USD. For Ulpan courses paid in NIS, the registration fee is 350 NIS.

Cancellation Policy:


Registrants may cancel up to June 20th at 4:00 PM (GMT +2) for a full tuition refund; however, the registration fee is non-refundable.

 

Fees should be paid at Reichman University's Tuition Department.

 

Withdrawal any time after June 20th, all fees are non-refundable.

* Withdrawal from the Ulpan must be made in writing to Ulpanrris@runi.ac.il.

** Ulpan levels will open contingent on minimum participants.
*** Ulpan is open for participants from age 18.
**** Housing is not provided for the Ulpan.
