Dor To Dor- Generation to Generation
We strive to assist lonely senior citizens in Israel's major cities. Through our innovative applications we provide young people in Israel with the opportunity to get acquainted with senior citizens, and make a real and meaningful difference in their lives.
So what do we actually do?
1. "Dorot” – a weekly meeting built around a common interest with your new "grandparent". We will find the right fit for you, based on your geographical preference and your field of interest. The meeting can take place on a regular basis, anytime during the week.
2. "Help is on the Way"- – commitment-free assistance for senior citizens whenever and wherever best fits your preferences, through our social app and community WhatsApp group- LightApp.city
We seek to find people with dedication and patience, good interpersonal skills, commitment and social responsibility.
The "Happy Hour" meetings take place on regular weekly basis, based on your preferences and those of the senior citizen, while "Help is On the Way" can be done anytime on an hourly basis.
The activities take place throughout Tel Aviv and Herzliya, in the senior citizen's apartment, or outside their homes.
