Student Union

The Student Union serves as a welcoming home for the students of Reichman University. It works to promote and enhance the student learning experience while representing its members to the university and external entities. The union encourages initiatives and social activities, providing a supportive framework to foster these endeavors, while also connecting with internal university departments and the civilian industry. It acts as a thriving environment for gaining professional experience, placing the development and growth of students at the forefront of its mission. Guided by a strong sense of purpose, the union is committed to nurturing the younger generation of Israeli society, upholding its core values of Zionism, initiative, excellence, transparency, and responsibility.

The union was established and is managed by the students, designed for them, and operates to improve their status in all areas related to student life at Reichman University and beyond.

The union oversees many areas, including clubs, military reserve duty, welfare, culture and events, and the academic forum, which includes representatives of the various programs. Within each department, there are numerous divisions, each with a distinct and important role in promoting the welfare of the students studying at Reichman University.

The volunteers of the union are the heart of the work within the Student Union. Every year, approximately 400 volunteers initiate and manage hundreds of events and projects for the benefit and well-being of the students. This is in addition to the ongoing activities of advancing and representing students on academic, welfare, military reserve duty, and other matters.
The leaders of the union are elected by the students on campus through direct elections. Membership in the Student Union provides students with a wide range of unique benefits and services, in exchange for an annual membership fee.

Academics
The union represents students to the teaching staff and student administration through program representatives. It is involved in course scheduling, exam dates, and operates a system of supplementary courses and private tutoring. The union also provides preparation for exam periods and offers support to special student populations. Additionally, it assists reservists with personal issues in collaboration with the Dean of Students. The union works to improve teaching quality and integrate learning technologies.

Welfare
Improving the conditions for students in areas directly related to their studies or in related fields, such as: organizing study spaces, securing scholarships, applying for property tax discounts, operating a housing database, monitoring cafeteria prices, providing benefits for reservists, and identifying discounts and consumer benefits for students. Community
Diversity and enrichment of campus social life, and fostering connections between students from different schools. In this framework, the union's various clubs operate, cultural events, webinars, and lectures are held for all students, student conferences are organized in collaboration with the schools, subsidized sports training, and more. Additionally, the Student Union encourages student-driven initiatives and the promotion of independent ideas, providing assistance and support to bring these ideas to fruition.

Social Involvement
The union initiates social involvement events, assists in organizing program-specific volunteer opportunities, and exposes students to a variety of existing volunteer options. Additionally, the union operates the intergenerational scholarship, a social scholarship in collaboration with the Dean of Students, the city of Herzliya, and Israel's state lottery. This initiative fosters intergenerational connections between the student community at Reichman University and senior citizens, as well as children and youth in Herzliya. The union's social media platforms and website gather information about its goals and a variety of professional and volunteer roles within it, as well as benefits and services available to students, information about their rights, updates on union events, and more.
