Last week Reichman University hosted Israel's first The Arabov Scale-Up Program conference, initiated by the Directors Association and the Arison School of Business.
The conference brought together leaders from Israel's economy, finance, and growth companies – with the goal of presenting a new vision: how Israel transitions from Start-Up Nation to Scale-Up Nation, building large blue-and-white companies that attract investments, retain talent, and strengthen the economy even during crises.
Dror Bin, CEO of the Innovation Authority: "We are in the midst of transitioning from Start-Up Nation to Scale-Up Nation. The key is not just to maintain development centers, but to build complete companies – with marketing, sales, and manufacturing – that will add value to the Israeli economy."
Prof. Niron Hashai, Dean of the Arison School: "The central challenge is how to transform startups into giant companies that sell for billions and contribute broadly to the economy. At Reichman University, we established a unique MBA track for Scale-Up, alongside international research and case studies."
Nati Amsterdam, CEO of NVIDIA Israel: "Since 2017, we have been building a culture of innovation in Israel that accelerates entire industries. Israel is a global hub for AI with over 1,200 startups – and it's our responsibility to preserve the knowledge and capabilities here."
The message that emerged from the conference was clear and unambiguous: Israel's future lies in growth and expansion – not just in creating new startups, but in building scale-up companies that drive the national economy forward.
Erez Ezra, Head of Strategic Consulting and Scale-Up at Reichman University, emphasized the importance of the mission and vision of a leading academia in laying the educational foundation for training the generation of managers of today's large corporations, especially at this time when the State of Israel finds itself.
