Reichman University’s MA students in Law, Technology, and Business Innovation recently had the extraordinary opportunity to embark on an academic and industry-focused study tour in New York City and Yale University. This experience was carefully designed to blend theoretical insights with practical industry exposure, offering students an invaluable perspective on the intersections of law, innovation, and business in the U.S. market.

The academic sessions at Cardozo University emerged as a standout highlight for many students. Engaging lectures from renowned professors such as Prof. Felix Wu, Prof. Michelle Greenberg, Prof Barbara Kolsun, and ProF. Bill Rosenblatt from NYU enriched the learning experience, building on the foundational knowledge acquired at Reichman University. These sessions deepened the students' understanding of pivotal topics like intellectual property, technology law, and business innovation.

The visit to Yale University, with its academic prestige, did not disappoint. A standout session led by Professor Kaplan on U.S. immigration laws was particularly engaging, offering thought-provoking reflections in light of recent global events. Students were also able to connect with the local Jewish and Israeli community, adding a rich cultural layer to the visit. The Yale visit which also included visits to innovation hubs was nonetheless an enriching part of the study tour.

The off-site industry sessions in New York proved just as informative as the academic ones, offering students the chance to observe the real-world applications of their studies.

One of the most impactful sessions was held at Warner Brothers Discovery, where the students engaged with part of their legal team leaders that presented forward-thinking discussions on AI’s role in the future of media and technology. This session emphasized the importance of innovation in entertainment law.

Other two inspiring and notable meetings were with Tal Chalozin, Co-Founder of 257 and Adv. Idan Bar Dov, CEO & Co-Founder of Heka Global , who shared with us valuable insights into the entrepreneurship world. Dr. Amit Elazari, Co-Founder and CEO of OpenPolicy who spoke about democratize access to policy.

We concluded our trip with a visit to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) which a delightful addition, where students learned about the inner working environment of one of the world’s financial hubs.

The study tour was an exceptional learning experience, combining the best of academic knowledge and industry exposure. This immersive experience left students with a deeper understanding of U.S. legal, technological, and business landscapes, and provided them with the tools to apply this knowledge in their future careers.
