This talk gives an overview of different jobs in the high-tech field, focusing on both technology-oriented and business-oriented positions. We’ll describe entry-level jobs, and how you can evolve from such jobs to more advanced positions. The talk will also give tips for preparing to, and passing, job interviews successfully. Bio: Oren Gross is an experienced technologist, R&D Manager, and General Manager. He was fortunate to sell his first cybersecurity startup in 2006 to VeriSign. Oren managed VeriSign Israel for five years and led the R&D of the VeriSign Fraud Detection Services. He was the Product Manager for the Anti-Fraud Network Product up until the Symantec M&A. Oren went back to the startup market when VeriSign was sold to Symantec to help and guide the R&D of a cloud storage startup through a change from consumer to the enterprise market. Since then he helped build, fund and manage Pawscout (an IoT company) as the CTO. Today, he is a Dev Director for SAP Concur, responsible for the Machine Learning services of Concur Verify.
