  • שמעון שוקן הוא הדיקן המייסד של בית ספר אפי ארזי למדעי המחשב. עוסק בפיתוח שיטות וכלים חדשניים להוראת מדעי המחשב ומתמטיקה שנמצאים בשימוש ב +400 אוניברסיטאות ובתי ספר ברחבי העולם. עבודותיו מתוארות בין היתר בספר רב-מכר בהוצאת MIT Press, בשתי הרצאות TED, ובשני קורסים בקורסרה. שמעון היה פרופסור-חבר באוניברסיטת ניו יורק (1995 - 1985), פרופסור אורח באוניברסיטאות הרוארד (2005), סטנפורד (2012), ופרינסטון (2023), וושימש כיו"ר ועדת מקצוע מדעי המחשב במשרד החינוך. ממייסדי חברת מטיפיק ו- ״עשר אצבעות״, תוכנה משחקית להוראת מתמטיקה שנמצאת בשימוש ב +60 מדינות ובכמחצית מבתי הספר בישראל. שמעון הוא מייסד-שותף ומנהל אקדמי של בית ספר גוגל-רייכמן לטכנולוגיה.
