  • Dr. Amnon Cavari is an assistant professor at the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy at IDC Herzliya, head of the Political Marketing Graduate Program at IDC, and co-chair of the Center for Statistical Consulting at IDC.
    Dr. Cavari specializes in American politics with specific research interests in the presidency, public opinion and political parties, and the interrelationship between them. In his research, Amnon combines public opinion data with behavioral data on political elites. His recent book is The Party Politics of Presidential Rhetoric (Cambridge, 2017). He is also the co-editor of two books on the Presidential Elections in 2012 and 2016.
    Currently, Dr. Cavari is working on a large research project funded by the Israeli Science Foundation and several other grants, which examines the political underpinnings of American elite and public support for Israel from the establishment of Israel until today. Studies from this project were published in American Politics Research, Israel Studies, Israel Studies Review and the International Journal of Public Opinion Research.
