Bar Meyuchas

I am a Ph.D. student at Reichman University, where I conduct research in cybersecurity in the IoT domain, with a focus on the intersection of network, cloud, and application security. My work examines how real-world deployment choices, Internet standards, and system design decisions influence the security of IoT devices at scale.
I hold an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Bar-Ilan University, where I focused on web security and browser isolation. My research spans multiple layers of the security stack. In earlier work, published at CANS and awarded the Best Paper Award, I analyzed cross-site search attacks, demonstrating how application features can be exploited to leak private data.
I later shifted my focus to IoT security, studying how device location and deployment context impact IoT behavior in real-world networks. More recently, I have explored the use of large language models for IoT device labeling, aiming to improve visibility and security in heterogeneous IoT environments.
This line of work led to the release of ZEAL, a public system that allows researchers to label IoT devices .based on our research – LabelMyDevice.com
