About
- The Berkeley Economics Semester Abroad Program (BESAP) is designed and available exclusively to outstanding undergraduate students in Reichman University's School of Economics. The Program is approved for only one semester (Fall Semester) under the framework of the Student Exchange Office.
- The BESAP is a specialized program as opposed to exchange and therefore students must pay the Berkeley program fees/costs.
- Students spend a semester at the world-renowned University of California, Berkeley taking specific economics courses offered in the BESAP Program.
- In general, students participating for one semester in the BESAP Program at UC Berkeley through Reichman University are not required to pay Reichman University tuition fees for that semester.
- Students who wish to extend their studies at UC Berkeley for an additional semester (Spring semester) must contact and obtain academic approval from their respective Schools before departing for the BESAP program.
- Students are responsible for contacting Reichman University Tuition Office prior to their departure to ensure that all tuition-related arrangements have been completed, in order to avoid outstanding balances and any restrictions on access to their personal student portal.
- Students who already receive a Reichman University scholarship are responsible for contacting the Scholarships Office before their exchange to determine how participation in the program may affect their scholarship eligibility and any scholarship requirements. Fees & Costs
- Students are accepted as concurrent enrollment students and must pay tuition directly to Berkeley in order to receive course credit. Students also have to pay various other university fees.
- Based on the 2026-2027 information, the estimated total costs including registration and living expenses for the 2026-2027 academic year through the concurrent enrollment program would be estimated at $22,874 for one semester or $45,748 for the academic year. Please note that all university and concurrent enrollment fees and cost estimates are subject to change.
- Please look at the various fees discussed in the "Cost Overview" document below as well as under the "Fees and Payment" section on the following link: https://extension.berkeley.edu/static/studentservices/concurrent/#collapseFive
