Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) (Lithuanian: Vytauto Didžiojo Universitetas (VDU)) is a public university in Kaunas, Lithuania. The university was founded in 1922 during the interwar period as an alternate national university. It is one of the leading universities of Lithuania and has about 8,800 students including Master and Ph.D. candidates.
Language requirement: Students are required a minimum of B2 Level English. Students must get an official document (in English language and signed) stating their English language proficiency from their home university or provide other tests’ results.
Living Expenses
Lithuania is considered an inexpensive country to live in. Students are able to cut some expenses by using the Lithuanian student identity card, International student identity card or Erasmus Student Network (ESN) card for discounts. Accommodation
The university accommodation is organized by VMU Student Affairs Office. The number of available places of VMU dormitory accommodation is limited and offered on a first come – first serve basis for the students who apply with the online accommodation form.
