OpenEvidence

OpenEvidence is a text analysis tool focused on medical information that allows users to enter a research question in the search box. It provides suggested edits as needed and generates a summary of the answer with references. Users can also ask follow-up questions based on the tool's suggestions or their own inquiries, enhancing the research process.

 

LitSense

This medical NLM tool enables users to formulate search queries as complete sentences and find similar sentences within articles. It combines keyword and semantic search capabilities, displaying results with at least 60% similarity. Users can refine their search by filtering results based on the specific section of the article where the matching sentence appears, enhancing the precision of medical literature searches.

 

Semantic Scholar

Semantic Scholar is an AI-powered research tool that analyzes and catalogs approximately two million academic articles annually, primarily in English. It partners with around 30 publishers, both commercial and open-access, including BMJ, SSRN, PubMed, arXiv, and Springer Nature. The platform's main goal is to uncover new information and connections within academic literature. Users can create personalized online libraries, which inform reading recommendations. Semantic Scholar provides citation information for each article, along with a one-sentence summary (TLDR), and allows for topic-based exploration of research.

 

MeSH on Demand

MeSH on Demand is a text analysis tool that processes up to 10,000 characters, providing users with suggested Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) terms related to their text, a list of 10 similar articles, and the option to search the PubMed database using the recommended terms.

 

EvidenceHunt

This innovative tool, developed in the Netherlands, allows users to ask questions in natural language (including Hebrew) or perform structured searches using PICO fields or PubMed's algorithm. It provides summarized answers with references, supports follow-up questions, and enables filtering of results by Impact Factor and sample size. Users can focus on cost-benefit articles (available only through PICO searches) and download selected articles as a CSV file for free, with an optional paid RIS file download. Each result is labeled with PICO properties, enhancing the relevance of the findings.

 

Spike clinical queries

A tool for extracting etiologies or treatments for symptoms or diseases. The tool was developed by the Israeli branch of the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence in collaboration with the Rambam Medical Center and the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at the Technion.

 

 

Asta

A platform for building and testing, and supporting the development of AI agents and tools. Asta's agents serve as research assistants, helping with the formulation of research questions, reviewing research history, finding literature, and summarizing it. The site also assists in building custom agents and testing their capabilities to ensure their quality. The tool’s language model is trained in scientific language and knowledge, and its outputs include references to sources.

 

 

 

Google AI Studio

A Google AI tool that serves as an incubator for developing AI tools and agents. The tool has powerful capabilities and can be interacted with via text or voice. It can generate written, audio, image-based, or multimodal content, as well as applications. The level of “creativity” in the responses can be controlled. The tool is also used for code and software development and utilizes advanced models.
