Gamechangers: The Conference That Really Did Change the Game
By Daniel Koren, 3rd year student
Last Wednesday, we attended the Gamechangers conference at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque – not to be confused with the Game Changers program we’re part of (yes, we also got a little confused, but hey, at least we were on the guest list).

The entire event focused on how AI (Artificial Intelligence) is being used in the gaming world – not in some far-off future, but right now. We heard about how AI helps with user acquisition, monetization, game design, content creation, and even training advanced models.
Speakers from top gaming companies took the stage – including CrazyLabs, Playtika, Google, Plarium, Scopely, Supersonic, Candivore, Playstudios, SciPlay, and more. Each talk opened a new door into how AI is transforming their day-to-day work: from understanding players better to running smarter campaigns and creating more personalized gaming experiences at scale.
Ophir Leitner kicked off the day with a sharp overview of the hottest trends, and from there the sessions just got better – we explored AI-powered design tools, in-app purchase optimization, and even ethical questions around generative models.
In between all that learning, we had some great coffee breaks and a chance to meet people from across the industry – exchanging ideas, stories, and maybe planting the seeds for future collaborations.
In a world where “AI” is everywhere, it was refreshing to see a conference that didn’t just talk the talk, but really showed what it looks like when technology meets creativity.

Bottom line – it was insightful, inspiring, and just geeky enough to make us excited for what’s next. And hey, turns out we’re not the only game changers around.
