Master class with Avi Eyal

This past Sunday (22/12), I had the privilege of attending Avi Eyal’s insightful lecture, where he shared his journey and principles for entrepreneurial success.
As someone deeply passionate about entrepreneurship, I found his talk inspiring, offering valuable lessons that extend beyond the classroom. During the lecture, Avi shared profound insights about leadership and entrepreneurship that left a lasting impression.

A memorable moment was when Avi said the following: "A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” This simple yet powerful statement encapsulates the essence of leadership and entrepreneurship.

Avi emphasized that entrepreneurs learn best when they’re “dropped in the deep” and forced to figure out how to swim. This hands-on approach teaches resilience and adaptability. To succeed, he said, you must be an expert in your field, set a clear vision, and focus on doing one thing exceptionally well, then rinse and repeat.

One of the most actionable takeaways was the importance of setting clear details for every task. Entrepreneurs should always remember the "3 W’s": who, what, and when. Define who is responsible, what needs to be done, and when it needs to be completed. Avi also introduced the concept of asking “why” five times to dig deep into the core of a challenge or decision. This relentless curiosity is a key component of entrepreneurial success. Equally important, Avi reminded us to stay humble, confident, and maintain integrity. Ego, he said, has no place in the entrepreneurial world.
