Our Journey with MATCH in the Accelerator Track
By: Din Shalit, Oren Yaar, and Ronel Levi
When we entered the Accelerator Track, we had a vision — but not yet a venture. We knew millions of patients using medical cannabis were struggling to find consistent, personalized care. But we didn’t know just how complex, emotional, and rewarding the journey of solving that problem would be.
From day one, we were encouraged to “get out of the building.” That meant less talking and more listening — to patients, to pharmacists, to mentors. With each interaction, we understood more deeply the fragmented, frustrating experience so many faces when trying to find the right cannabis strain. We came to build Match: a digital, AI-powered platform to help patients optimize their treatment, track progress, and adapt based on real-world results.

Early on, we were guided to build manually before building tech. We spoke with over a dozen early users, helped them navigate strain availability and effectiveness, and built our MVP around real pain points. The message was clear: the need is real, and patients are eager for help.
The accelerator pushed us further — through mentor meetings, pitch simulations, team workshops, and the "Ask Me Anything" panel, where we received raw, honest feedback from founders and VCs. We learned that entrepreneurship is as much about emotional resilience as it is about business models. One insight that stuck with us came from Etay Bogner: “I’m the worst employee in my company.” That spirit — of breaking molds and forging your own path — defined this experience.
At the Investors Game, we pitched under pressure and received encouraging feedback: strong validation on the problem and team, with a clear directive to keep focusing on real-world data and proving our model with users before scaling.

We closed the year by reaching the final competition — and proudly placed third. It was a validation of the journey we’ve been on and the team we’ve become.
Match isn’t just an idea anymore. It’s a living, growing venture backed by data, mentors, and a mission. And we’re just getting started.
