The clinic for housing rights and urban development in association with the Acro Real Estate Institute

The Clinic for Housing Rights and Urban Development provides students with interdisciplinary legal knowledge in the fields of planning and construction law, contract law, administrative law, real estate, and community organization.

The Clinic focuses on advancing access to housing rights for vulnerable populations through legal assistance, counseling, and, where appropriate, pro bono representation. Its activities address the needs of residents in disadvantaged neighborhoods undergoing processes of urban regeneration, as well as individuals and families seeking assistance in the areas of public housing, rental housing, and other housing related matters, in accordance with needs identified in the field.

Students acquire in depth knowledge of the right to housing as a constitutional and international human right, alongside unique integrative expertise in the areas of public housing and urban regeneration. These fields constitute some of the most significant and complex challenges currently faced by the Knesset, the Government, planning institutions, local authorities, households, and the courts.
