Be an Academic Buddy
This program provides academic support to all our miluimnikim students who are in active reserve duty during the year and aims to make sure they feel supported in their classes and are not falling behind in their courses.
We are looking for students with high GPA's (85 or above) who want to help their miluimnikim classmates by guiding them through their courses updating and explaining the course material, helping them with assignments, sharing notes taken from class, and tutoring them in specific things they need. Academic buddies can be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year students.
Academic buddies must commit to a minimum of 10 hours of tutoring, and in return they will receive a scholarship towards their tuition, which will be calculated at 120 NIS per hour.
Once 10 hours have been completed, buddies will be able to continue tutoring and receive the scholarship for the additional hours they have done. The scholarship will be transferred directly to tuition at the end of each semester.
*If the miluimnik needs additional hours, it must be approved by Lisa Sharon.
**Academic Buddy Tutoring sessions are limited to 3 hours per day per miluimnik.
