We bid farewell to Professor Amnon Rubinstein, the "Father of Constitutional Law," former Minister of Education, Culture, and Sport, Member of Knesset, Dean of the Law School, and President of the Interdisciplinary Center. A recipient of the Israel Prize in Legal Research, the EMET Prize, the Hashin Prize, the Zeltner Prize, the Gorney Prize, and the founder of the Rubinstein Center for Constitutional Challenges at Reichman University.
"The assembly lines of humanity no longer produce Amnon Rubinsteins." It is unlikely—perhaps impossible—that we shall ever see the likes of him again.
The State of Israel has lost a leader.
I have lost a father, a mentor, and above all—a friend.
Farewell, dearest Amnon. May your memory be a blessing.
From the eulogy of Professor Liav Orgad, Co-Academic Director of the Rubinstein Center
