This cluster offers students a multidimensional exploration of the political, social, and cultural forces shaping the contemporary Middle East, and their implications for regional and international cooperation and conflict.

Students develop advanced Arabic language skills, gain insight into key political and societal developments across different parts of the region, and examine the challenges and prospects of cooperation across borders.

The cluster fosters both analytical depth and practical understanding, and provides opportunities to acquire practical skills and experience through individual internships as well as participation in research projects and policy-oriented work.
