The Index of Government Assessment is a weighted average of the public's trust in the government, public satisfaction with the government, public confidence in the government's ability to address the most important public issue, and perceptions of government responsiveness to public needs.
The Government Assessment Index in July 2026 remained stable at 2.5 (on a scale of 0–10), following the decline recorded between April and June, when the index stood at 3.0. The components of the index remained stable compared to the previous month: 23% of the public are satisfied with the government's performance and with how the government handles the issues they perceive as most important to the country. The gaps between coalition and opposition voters remain significant, with coalition voters rating the government higher (4.7) than opposition voters (1.1) — a ratio of approximately 4 to 1.
