Courses for the General Public

The Maytiv Center offers a certificate program in positive psychology for the general public, under the academic direction of Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar. The program focuses on the experience of the “whole person” and optimal psychological well-being. It provides participants with an in-depth look at the science of positive psychology - the science of personal and social flourishing across the various aspects of life and at every stage of life. Over the course of the program, participants will dedicate time to asking the questions that lead to growth and to building optimal self-esteem.

They will deepen their self-knowledge and lead processes of positive change in their lives. The program also encourages participants to practice research-based tools and principles for enhancing resilience and well-being. The positive psychology approach makes a significant contribution in a variety of areas: personal life, leadership, counselling, personal coaching, parenting, and teaching. We invite you to join us on an out-of-the-ordinary personal and academic journey into the fascinating world of positive psychology and the science of happiness.

Program structure: The course comprises 32 academic hours spread over 8 sessions. Classes are conducted either in person or via Zoom, and include workshop-style elements with up to 40 participants. Upon completion of the course, participants receive a certificate signed by Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, the Maytiv Center, and Reichman University. Syllabus >
