Founders and partners

The “Music for Dialogue” initiative was established in 2016 with the aim of fostering dialogue, connection, mutual support, personal and group resilience, and collaborative efforts through the power of music in a new way that transcends sectors, cultures, and ages. The project collaborates with Reichman University through the “Promoting Dialogue Through Music” initiative that operates within the Baruch Ivcher School of Psychology. The project partners with leading faculty members at Reichman University, mainly from the School of Psychology, and with researchers and academics at Tel Aviv University, Ariel University, and Ono Academic College. The initiative was founded by Aviad Meitar, Amnon Herzig, and Dr. Ori Leshman.

  • Dr. Ori Leshman


    Dr. Ori Leshman is a research fellow and the director of the “Promoting Dialogue Through Music” initiative at the Baruch Ivcher School of Psychology at Reichman University. He is a composer, conductor, musicologist, researcher, and lecturer specializing in the intersection of society, education, and music at leading academic institutions in Israel. Dr. Leshman collaborates with the Ministry of Education to develop specialized training for educators, social workers, and therapists, including unique programs for at-risk children and teenagers. He has had an extensive career in music composition, performance, and artistic direction, both in Israel and around the world.

  • Aviad Meitar


    Aviad Meitar is an international business entrepreneur dedicated to developing initiatives that use music as a tool to reduce conflicts between different sectors of the population. He is a graduate of the Advanced Leadership Initiative program at Harvard University, where his research and efforts focused on developing this topic.

  • Amnon Herzig


    Amnon Herzig served as deputy CEO of Bank Hapoalim and chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank Massad. He also founded and managed the “Club 50” venture. Today he is actively involved in social and community projects and serves as the chairman of the Executive Committee at the Shiluv Institute for Family and Couples Therapy.
